ALICE FOR SCHOOL Thanks to the collaboration between Grapes Yard Self Help Group and Twins International, the project offers education and assistance to 500 children in Korogocho slum. The school has been renewed and has been added the nursery section. The project open up possibilities for the children to come out from the school thanks to their education.
ALICE CHILDREN HOME The Children Home is located in Nairobi Kariobangi slum. Alice Home is a house which host 37 children inside the already existing Outreach Community Centre Orphanage. A family is taking care of the children to reproduce a familiar environment.
ALICE VILLAGE
“A future for children”: Alice Village is a real village, consists in three main houses for the children plus the house of the adoptive families together with the house for volunteers.
The Village hosts 56 orphans and provides them with education, clothes, food and medical care.
VOLUNTEERING
Foreign and local volunteers are hosted in Alice for Children projects to complement our child care services in general. Such volunteers serve in areas such as fundraising, teaching, cookery, cleaning, developing new programs and staff capacity building.
